Do you want to connect to your innocent curiosity and creativity? Impulse Play is a non-verbal somatic and relational practice that creates a space for play and self-development. It is characterised by a structure that allows for a discovery of what feels good without a predetermined plan or goal. Move away from acting based on beliefs, thoughts, or judgements and into what is alive simply because it feels good. To be comfortable in a context without expectations or goals is incredibly freeing, but let’s be fair: it’s not what we are used to in this society. My workshops provide a safe environment to experiment and practice to become ‘comfortable with discomfort’. I will teach you tools that will empower you to navigate the vulnerability of revealing your most authentic and pure you. Just like going on a roller coaster ride it requires some braveness, but it comes with a lot of fun!
Impulse Play can be practiced solo, in duos or in a group and provides an opportunity to get in touch with your primal nature. Being wild and energetic or slow and sensual. Being in harmony or in contrast. Being an observer or being observed. Through this workshop you’ll learn to attune both to your inner impulses and how to navigate expressing them consensually.
The workshop starts by exercises that help you to connect to yourself, your body and each other. Then, there will be rounds of play, in which you can choose to be a witness, solo-player or play with others. Sounds are welcome, but most of the workshop will be without words. There are a few dedicated moments to share your experience verbally.
This workshop is for you if you want to explore and expand your capacity for:
- Being yourself unapologetically in relation to others
- Attuning to your impulses and pleasure
- Leaving the chatter of the mind and dropping into the body
- Overcoming fear of being judged and being celebrated for all that you are
- Honouring your HELL YES’es and NO’s and those of others
I facilitate these workshops at different venues and at irregular frequencies. Events will be announced on Hipsy. If you are interested to book me as a facilitator for your group, please reach out by sending me a message through Hipsy.
